I’ve really enjoyed shooting my first few street food outings! As of today, I have 7 episodes cut together, and another 2 in the can. I’ll be releasing them once a week over the next several weeks.
It’s been great to climb back into the editing saddle. I have a crappy video camera, a 7-year-old laptop, and scarcely any time - and I’m still having a blast. There’s no pressure for video quality (since it is absolutely not an option for me), so I get to focus on writing, keeping the ideas fresh and fun.
I also get to hang out with my friends and family while I shoot these episodes. I purposed to keep these outing social, because video production is so often a solitary pursuit. This time around I’m choosing to have and enjoy some company.
There are 15 weeks left in this semester. I’m planning to shoot as many episodes as I can before my students go home for the summer.
